The transaction reduces Loparex’s debt and increases its liquidity, according to the company.
It aims to provide funding flexibility for investment in the business and the implementation of its long-term growth strategy.
The deal closed after meeting the required regulatory approvals and other customary conditions.
Loparex said its relationships with customers and vendors will remain unchanged, and its facilities will continue to serve its customer base.
Loparex CEO Rich Holder said: “Completion of this recapitalisation is a significant step forward for Loparex and enhances our global leadership in the release liner industry.
“We appreciate the confidence shown by Monarch, General Atlantic and our other investors and lenders. We are entering this next chapter better positioned to invest in innovation, operational excellence and growth while continuing to deliver for our customers around the world.”
Loparex develops and produces release liner solutions for composites, construction, graphics, healthcare and hygiene applications.
The company first disclosed the recapitalisation agreement last month.
Monarch Alternative Capital and Atlantic Park led the investment, alongside additional investors and lenders.
Separately, Loparex appointed Anthony Woods as chief commercial officer last month. He will lead the company’s global commercial organisation.
Woods has more than 20 years of experience in B2B leadership positions across the Industrial Coatings and Release Liner industries.
Since joining Loparex in 2020, he has held the roles of market director of the graphic and label business and, most recently, head of market and technology.
