Luxembourg-based equity firm CVC Capital Partners has closed the acquisition of Swedish company AR Packaging for an undisclosed sum.
Following the announcement of the deal in May, the company acquired the packaging group from Ahlstrom Capital and Accent Equity.
Established in 2011 after the merger of A&R Carton and Flextrus, AR Packaging employs 2,200 people across 17 factories located in nine countries.
The company registered sales of around €560m in 2015.
AR Packaging president and CEO Harald Schulz said: “We are excited to enter this next phase in the development of our company together with a strong and global owner.
“CVC’s expertise, financial resources and network bring excellent support in achieving our set growth strategy.”

So far, the company has received more than $79bn in funds from various investors, allowing over 300 investments in industries worldwide.
It recently announced that Liberty Media has agreed to purchase motorsports business, Formula One, from a consortium of sellers led by CVC.
CVC Capital said that the transaction amounted to an enterprise value of $8.0bn and an equity value of $4.4bn.
