M&As this week: Amcor Limited, Yunnan Chuangxin New Material, Deutsche Beteiligungs

Australia-based packaging solutions provider, Amcor, has announced the acquisition of Plasticos Team, based in Colombia, from Team Foods Colombia.

Australia-based packaging solutions provider, Amcor, has announced the acquisition of Plasticos Team, based in Colombia, from Team Foods Colombia.

Plasticos is engaged in the manufacturing and supply of preforms, thin wall containers, and closures, while TFC is a producer of cooking oil and fats.

Yunnan Chuangxin New Material, a packaging products manufacturer, has entered an agreement to acquire battery separators manufacturer, Semcorp, for approximately CNY5.5bn ($797.75m) in an all-stock transaction.

Both the companies involved in the transaction are based in China.

German private equity firm, Deutsche Beteiligungs (DBAG), has announced the sale of 75.1% of its shares in Romaco Pharmatechnik to Truking Group, an engineering company based in China.

"Pro Mach, has announced the acquisition of Weiler Labeling Systems, a designer and manufacturer of pressure-sensitive labelling machines."

Romaco Pharmatechnikis is a supplier of processing and packaging equipment for the pharmaceutical industry.

The remaining 24.9% interest in Romaco will be held by DBAG and DBAG Fund V, a fund managed by DBAG.

Packaging and processing machinery manufacturer Pro Mach has acquired Weiler Labeling Systems, a designer and manufacturer of pressure-sensitive labelling machines.

Both companies involved in the transaction are based in the US.

Imperial Bag & Paper, a disposable food service and janitorial supplies distributor, has announced the acquisition of Peninsular Paper Products.

Peninsular Paper is engaged in the distribution of food packaging, paper products, disposable food service, and janitorial and sanitary supplies.

AR Packaging has announced the formation of a strategic partnership with Cypheme in order to acquire an equity stake in the company.

Under the deal, the two companies intend to combine their innovative technologies and provide customers with enhanced anti-counterfeit and traceability features, along with high-efficiency printing processes.

AR Packaging is based in Spain, whereas Cypheme is based in France.
