Beverage Can Makers Europe (BCME) and European Metal Packaging (Empac) have merged to form a new entity named Metal Packaging Europe, which is based in Brussels, Belgium.

Metal Packaging Europe will produce approximately 85 billion cans a year for multiple industries, at more than 450 manufacturing sites.

Conagra Brands has reached an agreement to acquire Thanasi Foods for an undisclosed consideration.

Thanasi Foods produces Duke's packaged meat and seed snack brands.

Both companies involved in the transaction are based in the US.
