Nihon Yamamura Glass, a Japanese glass bottles and plastic containers maker, is to acquire an additional 15.25% stake in Chinese glass bottles maker Qinhuangdao Fangyuan Glass Packaging.

The new stake purchase will give the Japanese company 100% ownership in the Chinese company.

Duran Group, a German borosilicate glass and container solutions provider, has signed an agreement with Gerresheimer and Chase Scientific Glass, following which the latter will sell its entire stake in Kimble Chase Life Science & Research Products for $131m.

Based in China, Kimble Chase Life Science & Research Products produces laboratory and scientific glassware products.

Germany-based Gerresheimer provides primary packaging products for medication and drug delivery devices, whereas Chase Scientific and Kimble Chase are both based in the US.
