M&As this week: Oji Holdings, SATO Holdings

Japanese paperboard and paper company, Oji Holdings Corporation (OHC), has reached an agreement with JK Paper, to acquire an additional 20% stake in Oji JK Packaging Private Limited (OJP).

Japanese paperboard and paper company, Oji Holdings Corporation (OHC), has reached an agreement with JK Paper, to acquire an additional 20% stake in Oji JK Packaging Private Limited (OJP).

The target company, which manufactures corrugated containers, is a joint venture of JK Paper, OHC and Marubeni Corporation (MC).

SATO Holdings, a Japanese barcode and radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology company, has acquired the remaining 66.7% stake in inline digital printing (IDP) company DataLase.

Based in the UK, the target company offers materials for laser coding and marking products and packaging.

Amitec, an engineering and machine construction company has acquired a 100% stake in Formeca, a packaging machinery producer based in Finland, from Finnish pulp and paper manufacturer Stora Enso.
