UK-based Knighton Foods has been acquired by Premier Foods, a food manufacturer that oversees various packaging operations.
The transaction involved the acquisition of the remaining 51% stake in the company, which is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Premier Foods.
Knighton Foods is a producer and retailer of instant dry powder food products. It is also involved in processing and packaging hot beverages, bakery ingredients and desserts.
Finnish packaging company Huhtamaki has acquired Delta Print & Packaging and its affiliate unit European Packaging Solutions Poland in a bid to establish its business in the European folding carton packaging market.
Following the £80m ($116m) acquisition, Delta Print & Packaging will retain its management team, while its founder will assist with Huhtamaki’s folded carton packaging operations.
Based in Poland, European Packaging Solutions is primarily engaged in the packaging and container business.
Coesia is to acquire Emmeci from Aksia Group SGR and Quadrivio Capital SGR in a transaction that is expected to take place later this year.
The acquisition of the luxury packaging producer is in line with Coesia’s strategy to enter the premium and luxury goods packaging segment.
Coesia manufactures automated machinery and materials, industrial process solutions, and precision gears.
Food service equipment provider The Middleby Corporation will acquire Follet Corporation in a deal that could be completed by the end of the month.
Follet Corporation is a leading manufacturer of ice machines, dispensing equipment and storage applications, as well as transport and medical-grade refrigeration products.
The company serves the food and healthcare industries.
