Ahlstrom-Munksjo has reached an agreement with KPS Capital Partners to acquire Expera Specialty Solutions for $615m.

Expera Specialty Solutions manufactures speciality paper products for food packaging and pressure-sensitive release liner sectors.

KPS and Expera have engaged Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton and Garrison as legal counsel, and Deutsche Bank and Barclays as financial advisors for the transaction.

Based in Finland, Ahlstrom-Munksjo is engaged in providing fibre-based materials, while KPS Capital is a US-based private equity firm.

Esko has completed an acquisition of BLUE Software from Diversis Capital and Schawk Digital Solutions.

“Inovar Packaging Group has acquired Topp Labels, a US-based manufacturer of pressure-sensitive prime labels and flexible packaging products.”

The acquisition will enable Esko to deliver improved product packaging, management and execution for the consumer packaged goods, life sciences and retail industries, as well as a variety of suppliers in the packaging value chain.
