Coating

Coated carton board manufacturer Mayr-Melnhof Karton has launched the new GC2 Accurate quality coating for packaging applications in the food sector, particularly chocolate and confectionery.

Mayr-Melnhof claims that Accurate is a better match for finishing and processing techniques and is also suitable for packaging solutions in the personal care and pharmaceutical sectors.

According to the company, the 90% Elrepho coating is applied with a new dosing element making it bright, smooth and shiny with a white reverse side. It is also FSC and PEFC certified, and has a freeze barrier for greasy frozen foods.

The surface is designed to offer better printing and processing and short lead times for a high degree of supply security and energy savings.

Available in densities of 215g/m² to 450g/m², Accurate can also be ordered with a halal certificate upon request.
