Box Making Machine

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Printing & Packaging Machinery (MHI-PPM) has received an order to supply 20 corrugated box making machines to North American packaging materials producer RockTenn.

RockTenn ordered 20 units of the EVOL 4FGR-100 Flexo Folder Gluer, which can produce corrugated boxes in diverse sizes with a wide range of print options at a maximum speed of 350 boxes a minute.

The gluer has a new ink changing system which speeds teh process, reduces substantially reduces losses and uses less washing water.

MHI-PPM is expected to commence shipments of the 20 units in October and complete the order in April 2016. It previously delivered ten units of the EVOL 4FGR-100 to RockTenn.

RockTenn manufactures and markets corrugated board and paperboard packaging materials. It has manufacturing bases in Canada, Mexico, Chile, Argentina and China in addition to bases in the US.

MHI-PPM has also received orders from two Korean packaging materials manufacturers for one EVOL 4FGR-100 box making machine and two sets of SH-400-2500 corrugating machinery for producing corrugated board. The SH-400-2500 can manufacture corrugated board at a maximum speed of 400m per minute.
