MM Packaging Ibérica’s plant in Spain has received an EcoVadis Platinum rating, according to a press release posted on WhatTheyThink.
According to the company, the result places the site within the top 1% of more than 150,000 companies reviewed by the ratings group worldwide.

The facility recorded 94 out of 100 for environmental policy in the assessment, and had cut Scope 3 emissions by 53% from 2019 levels.
It also pointed to the company’s recently introduced moulded pulp product, a fibre-based alternative without plastic, as evidence of efforts to reduce packaging waste and support broader sustainability efforts.
EcoVadis assesses more than 150,000 companies, and over 1,500 global organisations use its ratings to measure and steer sustainability performance.
Its methodology is built on seven founding principles and adjusted for sector, country and company size.
MM Packaging Ibérica was assessed across four areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
It scored 90 or higher in three of those four areas, according to the company, in an assessment relevant to customers in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors.

Last year, MM Packaging’s pharmaceutical packaging production sites in France secured the EcoVadis platinum rating.
