Denmark-based RPC Superfos has provided its SuperLock polypropylene pot for a new ready-made organic baby food brand, Lovemade.
Lovemade has used the injection-moulded pots to pack eight varieties of locally produced baby food, which are available across major supermarkets in Sweden.
Equipped with a 95mm diameter lid, the SuperLock pot is capable of holding 215ml of the product.
The autoclaving pots, which eliminate the requirement of additives or preservatives in the packed products, can be re-used at home several times.
In addition, the barrier labels of the SuperLock pot provide a longer shelf life than products sold in glass containers.
Lovemade owner Silvia Wulff said: “In terms of giving parents an ease-of-use experience, the diameter is important.

By GlobalData“The SuperLock pot is the right size, making it easy to stir, get a spoon in and the baby food out. Add to this the click-on screw-off lid makes it hassle-free to open and reclose the pot.”
The use of plastic in the SuperLock pot has also reduced the product's weight and transportation costs.
Last month, RPC Superfos provided its UniPak container for Danish confectionery producer Carletti’s new Halloween trick-or-treat bucket range.
