US-based natural meat supplier Niman Ranch has introduced Cryovac Darfresh Tray packaging for its Certified Humane fresh pork products.
Equipped with a hermetic seal, the packaging is designed to extend the product’s shelf life and fight food waste while preserving colour, flavour and integrity.
Darfresh’s patented technology is claimed to help extend shelf life by up to 35 days.
Niman Ranch general manager Chris Oliviero said: “As a quality-driven brand, we are proud to now offer Darfresh packaging to our grocer partners, better showcasing our pork’s remarkable marbling and colour and retaining peak quality.
“When a product looks and tastes this good, it deserves to be on full display, which Darfresh offers.
“This new packaging is one more way that we stand by our commitment to offering the best customer experience and the finest tasting meat in the world.”
