Novolex has acquired custom polyethylene bags and films manufacturer Wisconsin Film & Bag (WF&B) in the US.
Financial details about the deal have not been disclosed yet.
WF&B maintains an operational converting plant and a plastics recycling facility near Shawano, Wisconsin.
Along with polyethylene bags and films, the firm also supplies sustainable and recycled materials for the market.
Product variants offered by the firm include linear low-density polyethylene, low-density polyethylene, metallocene, clarity, high-density, barefoot, FDA, ECO-V, ECO-P and ECO-BLK films, in addition to flat and gusseted, and centerfold bags.
Wind Point Partners portfolio company Novolex was acquired in 2012.
This acquisition is the fourth one for the firm since its takeover by Wind Point Partners and is aimed at business expansion.
Novolex chairman and CEO Stan Bikulege said: "This is important to us, because it will further enhance our high-quality packaging choices for customers while advancing our position as the industry leader in sustainability.
"It’s a great fit for Novolex and we will look forward to integrating the Shawano Team with our successful Novolex custom film and bag brand.
"Our focus is to continue to invest in our business and supply our customers with world-class paper and plastic packaging products."
Novolex had acquired Packaging Dynamics and Duro Bag last year, in addition to shares in Clondalkin’s North American flexible packaging division in 2013.
