Packaging and foodservice products manufacturer Novolex has announced the addition of How2Recycle Store Drop-off label to its products.
The label provides recycling instructions that can be easily understood by consumers. It will feature on all of the company’s plastic bags, packaging and poly mailers for shipping applications and security bags.
Created by the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, How2Recycle programme plans to provide clear recycling instructions to the public through standardised labels.
Novolex sustainability director Erik Gonring said: “Increased consumer knowledge is key for the success of recycling, and we are proud to partner with the How2Recycle programme to help accomplish that.
“People want to do their part for the environment, and labelling our products is one more way to help everyone recycle successfully. Better consumer messaging is one more step towards achieving a circular model for film products.”
The announcement comes a few weeks after the company revealed plans to increase its capacity to recycle plastic bags.
