Novvia Group, a global distributor of life sciences packaging, has announced the acquisition of JWJ Packaging, a US-based supplier of drums pails and other rigid container products.

The financial details of the acquisition by Novvia, which is supported by Kelso & Company, remain undisclosed.

JWJ, founded in 2018, is a supplier of packaging and shipping materials, catering to a wide array of end markets.

More specifically, the company’s product portfolio includes steel and plastic drums, intermediate bulk containers, and other shipping accessories.

With headquarters in Millstone Township, New Jersey, it has been serving customers throughout the tri-state area with a range of products and services.

Post-acquisition, JWJ will merge with the existing Novvia subsidiary in New Jersey, Rahway Steel Drum.

Rahway Steel Drum was acquired by Novvia in December last year.

JWJ founder and owner William Guttridge Jr said: “We look forward to leveraging the resources of the national Novvia platform, including the company’s existing presence in the New Jersey marketplace, to deliver additional value to both existing and prospective customers.”

The acquisition marks Novvia’s third in the Northeastern US region, an area identified by the company as a strategic and high-growth market.

This month, Novvia also announced the acquisition of Ocean State Packaging for an undisclosed sum. The agreement marks the entry of Novvia into the New England market of the US.

Novvia is a provider of packaging solutions and customised services that serve domestic and international customers across various industries.

With the addition of JWJ, Novvia’s family of dynamic companies now includes Inmark, C.L. Smith, Silver Spur, Container Supply, and many others.
