Packaging producer O-I Glass has reached contract packing partnership with FX Matt Brewing Company to launch its Drinktainer into the ready-to-drink (RTD) market.
Drinktainer is a single-serve, recyclable glass container featuring a RipCap closure.

The collaboration will see the introduction of Right Coast Spirits Italian Ice in the Drinktainer packaging.
A dedicated Drinktainer filling line has been established at FX Matt to help beverage brands conduct market tests or launch full-scale market introductions via FX Matt’s contract packing services.
Starting in April 2024, Right Coast Spirits Lemon Vodka Freeze and Cherry Vodka Chill flavours will be available in 375ml Straightwall Drinktainer four packs.

Right Coast Spirits is a collaboration between three craft breweries including Flying Dog, Harpoon, and Saranac.
The group has a longstanding contract packing relationship with FX Matt, for 30 years and ten years respectively.
O-I Glass and FX Matt partnered last year to include the Drinktainer line to their package offerings.
The partnership aimed for beverage innovation optimisation and enhance channel efficiency for quick shelf placement.
FX Matt Brewing Company president Fred Matt said: “Italian Ice is nostalgic and delivers great taste in Drinktainer.
“The wide mouth opening maximises aroma and flavour for a more enjoyable consumption experience and will stand out at retail.”
Last month, O-I Glass announced the successful completion of two water reduction projects at its San Polo plant in northern Italy.
