Australian packaging giant Orora has signed a strategic partnership with AHG Refrigerated Logistics to add a logistics aspect to its existing corrugated carton solutions.
AHG Refrigerated Logistics has an extended portfolio, including brands such as Rand, Harris, Scott’s Refrigerated Freightways and JAT.
The deal is expected to benefit Orora’s existing fruit and produce corrugated customer base in the country.
Currently delivering cost-effective corrugated cartons, the firm will be able to expand its capabilities with help from its partner by adding services such as temperature-controlled logistics.
Orora managing director Nigel Garrard said: "Orora strives to be a customer-led provider of innovative packaging solutions, and this partnership with AHG is a significant step in that journey."
"AHG will provide a comprehensive logistics infrastructure that delivers cartons in a timely manner to our customers, with market-leading capability to collect and protect their fresh produce through the transport chain, ensuring it arrives to market in optimal condition.
"Orora and AHG can now offer our fruit and produce customers an end-to-end packaging solution for their produce, from carton to market in pristine condition."
AHG has emerged a leading refrigerated logistics firm in Australia following multiple acquisitions. The firm operates expanded fleet for road and rail transport and offers cold storage solutions across the country.
