Packaging solutions provider OrCon Industries has announced the purchase of US-based AC Packaging as part of its strategy to expand its products and services.
The deal has added on-site crating services to OrCon’s portfolio, doubled its wooden packaging production, as well as expanded its warehousing and manufacturing space to 160,000ft2.
OrCon plans to retain AC Packaging’s plant and staff at 175 Dewey Avenue in Rochester, New York.
The plant will become the third manufacturing facility for OrCon Industries.
OrCon Industries president Mike Olson said: “This acquisition rounds out our wood products offerings to our customers and allows us to be more efficient and effective in an area we were still building out ourselves.
“The acquisition was an easy decision to make because Rick, the owner, and his team share the same professional and personal values as our team. We are a family and they fit right in.”
