Folding carton manufacturer All Packaging Company has introduced the new SlideLocker CRx, an earth-friendly packaging alternative to other child-resistant options.

The new solution has been certified using federal standards for child-resistance and senior-friendliness (CFR Title 16 Part 1700).

Primarily made of paperboard, the SlideLocker CRx carton features a two-piece locking tray and sleeve construction.

It re-locks with each closure for reusability.

“There is significant demand for truly unique child-safe packaging.”

The carton also allows better print, coatings and effects to be applied to specific brand designs.

All Packaging Company sales and marketing vice-president Andy Heins said: “There is significant demand for truly unique child-safe packaging, which was our initial motivation to invest in this innovative SlideLocker design.

“After more than a year in the engineering and development process, our motivation evolved to a larger purpose: find a way for the package to benefit children beyond protecting them from accidental and potentially harmful consumption of medication and other regulated substances.”

The company also forged a partnership to donate a portion of SlideLocker CRx revenues to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals located across North America.

All Packaging Company focuses on developing new environment-friendly packaging.

The company has delivered custom-printed folding cartons for more than 270 customers located across North America.
