Scandinavian flexible packaging manufacturer Flextrus has entered a partnership agreement with Sweden-based digital print and media company Mediaköket Grafiska, as part of efforts to expand its technological footprint.
As a strategic business unit within the barrier packaging division of AR Packaging, Flextrus provides materials for the food and healthcare packaging sectors.
Flextrus managing director Maud Rahm said: "With this agreed partnership with Mediaköket, Flextrus will add another dimension to our technological footprint.
"We have great respect for the specific competences needed to develop successful business in digital printing and therefore look very much forward to cooperate with a partner having more than 15 years' experience in this field.
"Considering where Mediaköket is situated, we see tremendous customer benefits with a closeness to the market, high-speed and flexibility, as well as full utilisation of our joint competences."
Last month, Flextrus made a large investment in the Swedish packaging industry by successfully inaugurating a new flexo printing press.
Mediaköket provides photographic printing and repro services, and recently expanded into the graphical production, print management and label printing sectors.
Mediaköket Grafiska owner Mats Winde said: "To partner with Flextrus brings us a very broad market knowledge with a wide range of products and thereby sets an excellent basis for further growth for us."
The company currently manufactures low to medium long-run prints, and offer various services such as design, final artwork, prepress and final proofing.
