Global healthcare packaging solutions provider Packaging Coordinators (PCI) has completed the planned expansion of its packaging facility located in Rockford, Illinois.
The company added around 20,000ft² for secondary and tertiary packaging applications including cartoning, overwrapping, heat seal carding and compliance prompting packaging.

The expansion will support both commercial operations as well as large-scale clinical studies. It will provide packaging for biotech delivery forms such as injectable vials, syringes, devices, and transdermal products.
A new 93,000ft² storage and distribution site for investigational medicines will also become operational in August.
PCI president and chief executive officer Bill Mitchell said that the latest expansion enhances the company’s packaging business and service offerings to its customers.
