Temperature-controlled packaging provider Pelican BioThermal is set to open its first service centre in Puerto Rico this week.
Set to open on 24 August, the new facility is expected to support Pelican BioThermal’s Credo on Demand rental programme for temperature-controlled packaging systems.
Offered in a variety of periods, the rental service includes the provision of qualification reports and clean, freshly refurbished Credo Cargo or Credo Xtreme shippers for cargo transport.
Pelican BioThermal president David Williams said: “We expect those looking to transport bulk shipments for the pharmaceutical manufacturing and life sciences industries to find benefits in both our new service centre and the addition of Credo Cargo to Credo on Demand.
“Those facing challenging shipping lanes will now be able to access a reliable and reusable option at a key pharmaceutical manufacturing and transfer hub.”
Besides serving as a depot for Credo on Demand rental programme, the new facility will also enable Pelican BioThermal’s customers to procure and return reusable temperature-controlled packaging systems.
Earlier in May, the company opened a new Pelican BioThermal service centre in Belgium.
Pelican BioThermal expects that the new facility in Puerto Rico will assist its expanding depot network, which caters to pharmaceutical manufacturing and transfer services.
A division of Pelican Products, Pelican BioThermal manufactures thermally protected and temperature-controlled packaging solutions for the global life sciences industry.
