UK-based packaging manufacturer Petainer has unveiled its new app to support the use of its PetainerKeg product.
Designed to provide significant cost and logistical benefits, PetainerKegs are lightweight beverage containers manufactured from recyclable polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
The new Petainer app, which is available for free on Apple’s App Store, provides customers with step-by-step instructions for correctly using the PetainerKeg.
Petainer group commercial director Annemieke Hartman-Jemmett said: "The launch of the Petainer app is another good example of an initiative designed to help our customers – and their customers – in a simple, practical way by making our product as easy to use as possible."
Petainer recently launched a new online store for the European craft-beer and microbrewery market. The online shop aims to capture more than 4,000 small breweries across Europe that may buy smaller quantities of PetainerKeg, and allows them to choose, purchase and take delivery of their product in three to four days.
Petainer sales director Craig Pope said: "The number of smaller breweries in Europe doubled between 2008 and 2013, and in line with this growth we have had more and more enquiries for petainerKeg.
