Speciality food and healthcare markets custom packaging provider PPC Flexible Packaging has acquired US-based Temkin International.
Founded in 1980, Temkin offers various packaging products such as rollstock, stand-up pouches and floral sleeves.
It currently operates manufacturing facilities in the US and Canada.
Temkin serves various industries, including food, fresh produce, floral, stationery, and craft.
PPC Flexible CEO Kevin Keneally said: “We are thrilled to have the outstanding team at Temkin International join the PPC family. Danny Temkin and Lynn Abplanalp have assembled a world-class manufacturing, pre-press and graphics operation recognised industry-wide for its innovation, service and quality.
“Having a West Coast and South American presence expands our geographic footprint and provides us deeper capabilities in stand-up pouch, plate making, and flexographic printing.”
The merged entity will operate under the PPC Flexible Packaging brand name, while the fresh produce and floral segments will continue to operate under the Temkin brand.
PPC Flexible offers flexographic printing and converting of flexible films, bags and pouches to customers across healthcare / medical, snack organic brands, produce, pet food, and bakery applications.
The company currently operates three manufacturing facilities in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, Mission, Kansas, and Rome, Georgia.
