US-based Prescott Brewing has launched Achocolypse beer in Rexam 12oz cans, in a move to expand its canned offerings to cater to increasing consumer demand for its beers.

The Achocolypse is said to be the brewery’s third beer to be available in cans, besides Ponderosa IPA and Liquid Amber Ale.

Prescott Brewing owner Roxane Nielsen said: "Through our partnership with Rexam, we have the perfect package to broaden our consumer base. We will continue to look for opportunities to increase our presence in cans."

The brewery has chosen aluminum cans as they block out all light and oxygen, which allows beer to retain its taste and freshness for a longer duration.

"Our cans are the ideal packaging choice for the brewery as it looks to bring its beers to even more consumers."

These lightweight cans can be recycled at double the rate of any other package option and can reduce shipping costs.

Rexam president Claude Marbach said: "Our cans are the ideal packaging choice for the brewery as it looks to bring its beers to even more consumers.
