US-based flexible packaging company ProAmpac has acquired recycled kraft paper packaging products maker APC Paper in an effort to broaden its sustainable solutions portfolio.
The acquisition is intended to further strengthen ProAmpac’s paper manufacturing capabilities and its position in the recycled and sustainable product sector.

The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
ProAmpac founder and CEO Greg Tucker said: “APC Paper is widely respected for its commitment to innovation and fully recycled paper products.
“Together we will have greater capabilities in our paper-based markets as we strengthen our leading position in sustainable packaging products.”
APC Paper’s packaging products are designed for use in various markets such as food service packaging, consumer products, e-commerce, industrial and home improvement.

By GlobalDataBy partnering with ProAmpac, the company will be able to provide a broader product portfolio for its customers and other opportunities for its team.
Following the acquisition, APC Paper will adopt the ProAmpac brand and continue to operate from its current manufacturing facilities in Claremont, New Hampshire, and Norfolk, New York.

Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, ProAmpac manufactures flexible and sustainable packaging and material science solutions for various markets, including consumer, healthcare, e-commerce, retail and industrial goods.
The company, owned by Pritzker Private Capital, operates almost 50 sites worldwide and employs almost 5,800 people.
Earlier this month, ProAmpac acquired British flexible packaging manufacturer Ultimate Packaging in an effort to enhance its flexible food packaging capability and sustainable solutions portfolio.
Ultimate Packaging provides printing techniques and sustainable packaging solutions designed to extend products’ shelf lives and improve convenience and recyclability.
