Plastic caps and closures provider Procap has unveiled a new secure TE lid for HDPE, Co-ex and PET containers with a 63mm neck finish.

Specifically designed for larger agro chemical containers, the new 63 PROSLIT closure aims to improve overall product safety for end-users and can be used with a wide range of IHS and PE foam liners.

Fully UN-compliant, the closure features a totally new type of TE band, a folded snap / slitted flexband and helps prevent counterfeiting.

The standard multi-layer foam disk liner of the leak-proof 63 PROSLIT provides a reliable seal and full chemical barrier for powders to liquids that are water or solvent-based products. The container maintains a complete seal even on reclosure, making it much safer for end-users.

Designed to include a handy integrated foil cutter to make the incision of foil seals easier, the lid performs well on mechanical tests and chemical resistance trials, and meets UN homologation requirements for the transportation of dangerous goods. The company said that it complies with UN specifications for closures without a traditional induction heat seal (IHS) liner also.
