Packaging machinery solutions provider ProMach has opened a new facility in Statham, Georgia, US, in an effort to improve productivity and sales.
The company will use the ProMach Atlanta facility for upgraded multi-brand manufacturing, customer support, aftermarket parts distribution and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

The facility will also be used to carry out fabrication and assembly operations for Zalkin capping systems and Benchmark Automation food distribution and loading equipment.
Zalkin is a division of ProMach and manufactures machinery for closing rigid containers.
The 157,000ft² centre will also house the ProMach Performance Services in the Southeast for integrated solutions, design-build, engineering, and productivity software.
Zalkin vice-president and general manager Randy Uebler said: “ProMach Atlanta takes the Zalkin and Benchmark brands into a new era of enhanced productivity and growth.

The facility, which comprises a 60,000ft² FAT centre, employs more than 100 workers, including those within the Federal aftermarket service team for ProMach Filling Systems and ProMach Performance Services.
ProMach president and CEO Mark Anderson said: “We took the opportunity of making a strategic investment in a manufacturing and services centre that would support the rapid sales growth of Zalkin, Benchmark, Federal, and our ProMach Performance Services brands.
Established in 1998, ProMach offers packaging solutions and services to manufacturers in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, household and industrial goods industries.
The services provided by the company-operated brands cover different aspects of the packaging spectrum, including filling and capping, flexibles, pharma, product handling, labelling and coding, and end of line.
