DS Smith Plastics’ unit Rapak North America has introduced EvacuStrip beverage bags for bag-in-box packaging.
The new bag incorporates a rigid, rectangular evacuation assistance device known as a dip strip, which conveniently dispenses traditional post-mix syrup, pulpy juice or highly viscous liquids.
EvacuStrip beverage bags are said to offer an evacuation performance of highly viscous liquids of more than 99.6% at any orientation, including the vertically situated bag-in-boxes dispensing from the top of the packaging.
Available in multiple sizes, the bags are also puncture-resistant and more durable than the conventional post-mix bags.
Rapak noted that the new EvacuStrip flexible bags can be paired with the NSF approved PCSS+ Line-side connectors to offer a full-system solution for Bag-in-Box dispensing.
Rapak recently announced the launch of its new e-commerce website offering that will include product lines in the beverage, wine, and liquid food markets.
Commenting on the launch of the new website, DS Smith North America plastics flexible packaging president Ron Gasior said: “The site is fully scalable, and we plan to expand this initial offering going forward as we build our digital capabilities.
“We continue to focus on our expanding customer base and this will make it easier to deliver our products to them in a seamless fashion.”
Rapak manufactures bag-in-box packaging solutions for the dairy, beverage, wine and bulk food industries.
