RPC Superfos has been selected to provide its SuperLock pot for Danish start-up company Nordic Gourmet Factory’s new gourmet popcorn.
The packaging is designed to offer both convenience and on-shelf appeal.
Known as NoCrapGourmet, the new handmade gourmet popcorn is composed of natural ingredients with no additives.
It is available in a range of flavours, including classic, caramel and salted. As well as more adventurous flavours, such as liquorice, raspberry, and Belgian chocolate.
The SuperLock pot has a capacity to hold around half a litre of popcorn and features artwork produced by In-Mould Labelling and a black lid that gives the product an attractive on-shelf presence.
Consumers can use the twist-off, screw-on lid to re-close it for safe storage and later consumption.

By GlobalDataNordic Gourmet Factory founder and director Tommy Jensen said: “We wanted a pack which immediately could convey that our popcorn is out of the ordinary.
“The solution from RPC Superfos is different from other solutions on the plastic packaging market and we really like the screw lid – one of the reasons why we decided to use the SuperLock pot.
“Another point is that the pots stack well so that our distributors have the best options to create an eye-catching in-shop display. The SuperLock pot helps us to stand out from other products on the gourmet candy market.”
Earlier this month, RPC Superfos designed a wedge-shaped pack with an oxygen-barrier label for Swedish mature cheese manufacturer Skånemejerier’s new Allerum range.
