Italian packaging machinery manufacturer Sacmi has developed a new range of labelling machines in the KUBE series.

The new machines are designed to meet the labelling requirements in the wine and food industry. They are capable of offering cold glue or hot melt self-adhesive labelling.

The KUBE K30 720 9T labeller is equipped with a universal screw feeder. It is controlled by a brushless motor for flexible, efficient handling of all bottle types, with diameters ranging from 60mm to 120mm without having to change the screw.

Production capacity of the KUBE K30 720 9T labeller is approximately 9,000 bottles per hour. It also has an electronic-cam plate movement system on which motion can be programmed, according to the type of application.

Sacmi claims that the carousel can house a maximum of five stations that allows up to five separate applications for each single passage of the bottle through the machine.

Sacmi’s KUBE CG 3/3 cold glue labelling station features a fixed-magazine label loading system, micrometer-gauged glue distribution and handling via a brushless motor.

The company will showcase all these machines at Enolitech 2015.

Additionally, Sacmi will present its patented bottle orientation system at the event. This uses a single camera and the same sensor to ensure correct orientation of sparkling wine caps, on-glass relief branding or glass seams.
