Sustainable packaging solutions firm Schur Flexibles Group has purchased 100% interest of Sweden-based flexible packaging specialist Scandiflex Pac.
Scandiflex Pac offers flexible printed packaging solutions for a wide range of food market segments.

The deal will strengthen the company’s market position in Europe and its existing capabilities, including flexo printing in the Nordic region.
Combining Scandiflex Pac with Schur Flexibles Denmark, Schur Flexibles Finland and Danapak Flexibles, the deal will allow the group to cover the complete converting and digital printing value chain in the Nordics region.
Scandiflex Pac’s capabilities in delivering packaging for meat, fish, dairy, dry food products and coffee, as well as ready-made and frozen food adds value to Schur Flexibles business.
The group is expected to develop Scandiflex Pac’s expertise in printed and transparent films, and laminates.

The deal will allow the transfer of expertise between the Swedish firm and the group’s French business, Schur Flexibles Uni.
Scandiflex Pac will also benefit from the digital printing expertise of Schur Flexibles’s internal specialists.
