Sealed Air has introduced ZeroPrep, a hand-dispensing pouch system for condiment use in restaurant back-of-house operations.
The pre-filled pouches are intended to reduce the work involved in preparing and cleaning squeeze bottles and other rigid containers during shifts.

Each pouch has an easy-open seal and a spout that allows sauces and condiments to be dispensed by hand pressure.
The spout closes again between uses to limit dripping.
The pouches remain hermetically sealed until first use. By avoiding the transfer of condiments into bottles or other secondary containers, the system is designed to reduce the chances of contamination.
The format allows staff to use pre-filled pouches without tools and supports one-handed dispensing and more compact storage.
The company said the system can deliver product yield of up to 97% and help maintain freshness and flavour consistency during service.
The pouches are produced on the new CRYOVAC brand ZeroPrep vertical form-fill-seal system.
Sealed Air said the equipment combines two CRYOVAC films to create the pouch structure, easy-open seal, semi-rigid spout and hermetic seals.
The machine can produce packs in sizes from 8fl oz to 16fl oz at speeds of up to 80 packs a minute.

Last month, Sealed Air added a new paper cushioning machine, the SEALED AIR brand ProPad Mini, to its packaging equipment range, targeting fulfilment sites where pack station space is limited.
The machine aims to fit into smaller operating areas while supplying paper cushioning as needed during packing.
