Smurfit Kappa opens new Bag-in-Box Experience Centre in France

Paper-based packaging solutions provider Smurfit Kappa has opened the second Experience Centre for Bag-in-Box in Épernay, France.

Paper-based packaging solutions provider Smurfit Kappa has opened the second Experience Centre for Bag-in-Box in Épernay, France.

Managed by technical experts, the new centre is equipped with the latest technology and interactive displays to exhibit films, taps and boxes.

Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box Épernay general manager Dominique Gessat said: “Customers coming to the Experience Centre can evaluate all the processes of production and see with their own eyes the quality standards that Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box has adopted over the years.

“Our production plants are certified worldwide, recognised for their modern equipment and strict procedures to ensure with food packaging regulations.”

At the new Experience Centre, visitors and customers will receive information on the various capabilities provided by Bag-in-Box solutions, as well as test the products in the laboratory to assess their benefits under different business spectrums.

With the opening of the new facility at Épernay, the number of Smurfit Kappa Experience Centres increases to 18.

The Global Experience Centre is situated at Schiphol in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Last month, the company named its retail packaging offering as ‘eSmart’ which will guide the online commerce brands through 12 important areas to streamline e-retail processes and optimise supply chain efficiency.
