Smurfit

Irish packaging producer Smurfit Kappa has opened a new Experience Centre in Mold, north Wales, in a move to provide more accessible solutions and services for customers.

The move forms part of the company’s ‘Open the Future’ global brand strategy, which is aimed at delivering customer growth through insight and innovation.

Said to be the company’s seventh regional centre across Europe and the second in the UK, the new centre offers customers hands-on, real-time insight into how to meet their business needs through the continued implementation of packaging and service innovations.

It is equipped with advanced technologies and tools, such as a virtual store, a retail insight centre, a shelf viewer and a full-screen cinema room.

"By opening the centre in Mold, we are able to offer a localised service that supports businesses based around the region."

Smurfit Kappa UK packaging development manager Phil Husband said: "By opening the centre in Mold, we are able to offer a localised service that supports businesses based around the region."

The company’s new centre joins a network of Experience Centres that are being rolled out across Sweden, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Ireland and Spain.
