According to Spectra, product counterfeiting creates health risks for consumers as fake products would not undergo the same stringent testing as genuine products before commercialisation.

In addition, the firm has launched another print solution, Touch, allowing brands to add Braille to the packaging.

“These two groundbreaking offerings provide solutions that can make a difference with social responsibility in mind.”

To maintain height consistency of the Braille alphabet throughout the packaging process, the new print facilitates accurate control measures while directly printing dots onto the surface of the container.

The control feature of the tactile print is intended to eliminate the need for custom tooling.
