Stahl, a supplier of speciality coatings for flexible substrates, has entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with sustainable high-performance barrier solutions provider Barriertec.  

This agreement grants Stahl the exclusive rights to market Barriertec’s sustainable barrier coatings, including the Barriertec and Be Repulpable labels, for the packaging industry under the Stahl brand.

Barriertec’s solutions facilitate the application of barrier coatings on paper, enhancing the material’s resistance to grease, water, oil, and oxygen.  

These solutions promote the recycling and reusing of paper fibres in new packaging solutions. 

The sustainable barrier coating is also advantageous for food packaging manufacturers, aiding the shift towards fully recyclable paper-based packaging.
