US-based winery Sterling Vineyards has introduced recyclable and resealable aluminium wine bottles, which will be used for its Sterling California Vintners Collection.

Available for a price of $7.99, the three wines include Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Rosé.

The 375ml aluminium bottles feature a brushed texture with a colour cap at the top and a bar at the bottom to define the variety of the wine.

Sterling Vineyards offers an optional custom lid with an integrated straw and an end cap / table dispenser display to support the new packaging.

It will also offer other tools such as a ‘make your own’ four-pack carrier and a clear plastic tote to carry four cans with ice for picnics.

The company will provide an array of neckers, shelf talkers, case stackers and case cards in various sizes in a move to support the launch of the new bottles.

“It’s no surprise that we are bringing something different and very much in tune with what consumers expect from Sterling.”

Sterling Vineyards brand director Rob Knott said: “It’s no surprise that we are bringing something different and very much in tune with what consumers expect from Sterling.”

Aluminium bottles will be suitable for sporting and concert events, as well as grab-and-go convenience occasions for customers looking for an alternative-sized option.

The company has recently incorporated Sterling Style in its packaging that is described as “Always Polished, Never Dull.”
