It currently works with more than 70 brands, among them sweetgreen, Dave’s Hot Chicken, Huey Magoo’s and Burger King, covering over 6,500 sites in North America and nine overseas markets.
The business collaborates with foodservice distribution groups such as Sysco, US Foods, Gordon Food Service, Performance Food Group, Imperial Dade and McLane.
SupplyCaddy CEO and co-founder Zachary Stein said: “For six years, Bradley and I have been building a company that puts relationships ahead of transactions and long-term partnerships ahead of short-term wins.
“We did not set out to create another packaging company. We wanted to be the kind of partner restaurant brands deserve: one that understands their business, anticipates challenges and cares about their success as deeply as they do. This investment gives us additional resources to continue building that company at a much larger scale.”
SupplyCaddy said it continues to operate under its founders, with Stein and co-founder Bradley Saveth retaining oversight of commercial ties and remaining directly engaged with each restaurant brand on its client list.
The new funding aims to support a wider manufacturing footprint in domestic and overseas markets.
It will also help ramp up work on packaging innovation, engineering and sustainable materials, and further investment in technology, logistics and supply chain systems.
The company added that the capital is also to be used for inventory planning, customer support, hiring in sourcing, operations and product development, and expansion into additional international markets.
With the additional funding, the company intends to support restaurant brands in developing more resilient supply chains, expediting product development, and managing increasingly complex packaging programmes.
CEAS Investments chief investment officer Mike Wohl said: “When we first invested in SupplyCaddy, we saw a talented management team with a clear vision for addressing a significant and evolving need within the restaurant industry.
“Bradley, Zachary and the entire SupplyCaddy team have continued to distinguish themselves through disciplined execution, deep customer relationships and an uncommon level of founder involvement. They have built more than a packaging company. They have created a scalable global platform capable of becoming one of the restaurant industry’s most trusted packaging and supply chain partners.”
