Luxembourg-based paper products / plastic film producer Technovaa Packaging, the industrial arm of Darvesh, has broken ground on a new manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi Ports Company’s (ADPC) Kizad.

To be spread over an area of more than 35,000m², the proposed facility will see an investment of around AED250m ($68.05m).

The new facility is said to form a part of Darvesh’s strategy to export 60% of its overall production volume from Kizad to European, Middle Eastern and African markets, in order to cater to local demand.

It will further support Technovaa Industries’ other branches in Dubai and Ras Al Kho.
