American company Tension Packaging & Automation is set to unveil its new fitPACK500 machine at the ProMat 2025 trade exhibition in Chicago, US, which will take place from 17-20 March.

The fitPACK500 is a compact packaging system designed to deliver fast, cost-efficient, and versatile packages.

The company said that the product is engineered to automatically adjust package dimensions such as length, width, and height, providing a customised fit without affecting throughput.

Alongside the fitPACK500, Tension will also showcase its extensive range of automation systems, including the HPS300, SLAM, Z-Sort, MAX-PRO 24, and the TensionCONNECT workflow integration software, all of which are designed to enhance packaging and automation processes.

Tension Packaging & Automation vice-president and general manager James Herbert said: “The fitPACK500 is a versatile and compact system, designed to take the guesswork out of packaging by creating true right-size packages on demand.

“With its small footprint, the fitPACK500 maximises floor space efficiency while its optimised packaging minimises shipping costs.

“Additionally, its intuitive controls make operation seamless, ensuring the best shipping rates and delivering operational efficiencies through its impressive versatility to create custom package lengths, widths and heights.”

Tension, a family-owned company, operates nine plants in the US and has an international presence.

The company’s packaging equipment is designed to support e-commerce and pharmaceutical operations.
