Norwegian self-adhesive labels manufacturer Skanem Group has been selected as a qualified label conversion partner for Thin Film Electronics’ near field communication (NFC) SpeedTap and OpenSense tags.

The company’s NFC tags completely integrate with its CNECT Cloud-based platform that allows brands to connect directly with consumers through interactive products via a smartphone.

During the assessment, the company demonstrated its capability to set up and automate major production processes, along with consistently meeting designated standards related to production flow, tag application, process control, in-line testing/discrimination, product quality, production yield and transfer/security.
As a qualified partner, Skanem will provide its customers with custom smart label solutions that use Thinfilm’s NFC tags and technology, integrated software, conversion services, label design and printing.
With Skanem as its partner, Thin Film Electronics will be able to extend its business in European and Asian markets, as well as enhance customer services and support.
