Retro Wedges

Tri-Star Packaging has expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of a new range of Retro Wedges, which are manufactured from rPET.

Made from recycled materials, the Retro Wedges are heat-sealable for optimum product freshness, the company claims.

The new packs with eye-catching design are available in different colours such as blue, yellow, red and green.

The company claims that the rPET Retro Wedges can be used by food-to-go businesses and caterers to colour-code product ranges such as green for vegetarian, blue for fish and red for meat products.

"Our new Retro Wedges offer the very latest technology in terms of their performance and sustainability credentials."

Tri-Star’s rPET Retro Wedges can be recycled after use, with the company adding that are less expensive than card equivalents and are available from stock.

Commenting on the development, Tri-Star Packaging managing director Kevin Curran said: "The 1980s are remembered fondly for many reasons, but none more so than the fashion for very bright colours.

"They may have an old-school look to them, but our new Retro Wedges offer the very latest technology in terms of their performance and sustainability credentials, and all at a very competitive price that keeps costs down while adding value."

Earlier this year, the company has launched Coalesce, a hinged hybrid pack to display salads, sushi and bakery products.

Available in 500cc and 1,000cc sizes, Coalesce features an ultra-clear hinged lid attached to a board base that can be printed internally and externally for greater brand presence and shelf impact. The see-through rPET lid of the pack offers a large viewing area for increased visibility.

Tri-Star currently supplies packaging, catering disposables and hygiene products in the UK.
