US-based primary packaging distributor TricorBraun has completed its acquisition of family-owned packaging supplier Cormack Packaging.
The two companies entered a purchase agreement last month. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Primarily operating in Australia and New Zealand, Cormack supplies rigid packaging for the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, industrial and household cleaning industries.
The addition is intended to add to TricorBraun’s portfolio and extend its presence into Australia and New Zealand.
TricorBraun president and CEO Court Carruthers said: “With our acquisition of Cormack Packaging, we are immensely proud to serve customers with innovative and quality packaging solutions from five continents.
“We have great respect for the incredible business the Cormack team has created, and we look forward to helping it grow.
“We are pleased to officially welcome Cormack Packaging to the TricorBraun family.”
TricorBraun supplies plastic and glass containers, closures, dispensers, tubes and flexibles for a range of customers and end markets in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia.
To date, the company has acquired and supported the growth of 28 packaging companies.
Cormack is TricorBraun’s third acquisition this year and will now operate as Cormack Packaging, a TricorBraun company.
Cormack Packaging managing director Mathew Cormack said: “Joining the world-class TricorBraun team is the next great growth chapter in Cormack Packaging’s 82-year history.
“I am truly excited for the opportunities this brings to Cormack Packaging to better serve this region’s customers.
“Sharing like values, as well as a common passion and commitment to be the best partner for our valued customers, make TricorBraun the ideal home for Cormack Packaging to thrive.”
In July, TricorBraun acquired SGB Packaging as part of efforts to expand its global supplier network.
SGB Packaging is based in New Jersey and specialises in supplying packaging for the cosmetics, fragrance, skin, hair and personal care and make-up industries.
