US-based rigid packaging provider TricorBraun has agreed to acquire North American flexible packaging distributor PBFY from Pacific Western Sales (PWS).
Based in California, PBFY offers flexible packaging services for brands in the food, coffee, tea and health and beauty sectors.

Following the acquisition, TricorBraun will integrate PBFY into its flexible packaging business, TricorBraun Flex.
The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The deal is expected to complete later this month, after which PBFY will operate as PBFY, a TricorBraun company.
TricorBraun will retain all of PBFY’s employees.

TricorBraun Flex supplies custom printed flexible packaging to more than 4,500 customers in more than 50 countries, with a focus on coffee, tea, pet food, nutrition and speciality food.
To date, the company has successfully acquired and expedited the growth of 33 packaging companies worldwide.
In January this year, TricorBraun purchased beverage packaging companies Zuckerman Honickman and Vessel Packaging for an undisclosed amount.
PWS provides bags and retail packaging supplies for the foodservice, retail, e-commerce and events industries among others.
The company was founded in 1979 and operates from locations in California and Tennessee.
