US-based packaging and shipping supplies provider UCanPack has introduced a range of tall, corrugated boxes for e-commerce shipments.

The boxes are intended for packaging long and narrow items such as lamps, tripods, sporting equipment, home décor pieces, and rolled products.

According to the company, the range was developed in response to growing online sales of longer-format products and higher levels of claims, returns, and repeat shipments linked to unsuitable packaging.

The design focused on improving resistance to impacts, crush protection, and dimensions that better match elongated items, with the aim of reducing damage during transport and simplifying packing tasks.

The line is also presented as compatible with sustainability programmes while maintaining shipping performance.

From an operational perspective, the company indicates that using tall boxes sized more closely to the product may reduce the need for additional void fill, increase carton density in outbound transport, and help manage costs influenced by dimensional weight.

Specification options cited include single-wall 32 ECT for standard loads, with heavier board grades and double-wall alternatives for higher weight or more sensitive products.

The company also noted that the print-ready surfaces of the packaging can be used for branding, handling instructions, and returns guidance via digital printing.

A UCanPack spokesperson said: “Our tall boxes were engineered around the realities of parcel networks.

“By dialling in geometry, board strength, and stress‑zone reinforcement, shippers can lower avoidable breakage and cut down on repacks and returns—without slowing the line.”
