UK-based foils, laminates and holographic materials provider API Group has acquired the manufacturing assets and business of Amsterdam Metallized Products (AMP), for an undisclosed sum.
Established in 1966, AMP produces brand enhancement packaging substrate technologies, as well as transfer metallising paper, board and film materials.
API Group CEO Dino Kiriakopoulos said: “The acquisition is part of our continued focus on offering the very best brand enhancement solutions for the packaging market.
“The transaction adds outstanding complementary products, further enhancing our capability to serve customers, and providing entry into attractive new sectors.
“Our immediate priority is assuring the continuity of AMP’s business lines and maintaining unparalleled service, and we have established API Netherlands to facilitate a smooth and seamless transition.”
With the completion of the deal, AMP managing director Pim Honig and commercial manager Jeroen Pillen have joined API in senior commercial leadership positions.
Honig will initially manage API Group’s new site in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and support the transition of AMP’s product lines into API.
In July, API Group acquired Hazen Paper Company’s paperboard lamination facilities and business in Osgood, Indiana, US.
The deal includes commercial and production assets of the Osgood based lamination facility, as well as its employees.
Founded in 1925, Hazen Paper Company offers paper conversion services.
