Corrugated packaging provider Cepac is planning to double its decorative packaging and display operation capacity at its facility in Doncaster, UK.
Planned to begin by 2017, the million pound expansion includes the installation of new machines and manufacturing space, as well as a larger design department to meet customer requirements.
In April, Cepac installed a second digital printing press at the Doncaster site with an aim to produce new packaging with graphics within a short period of time.
Cepac sales and marketing director Steve Moss said: “The packaging world can be traditional and reluctant to change although there is now the opportunity to break away from conventional means of production.
"Highly printed packaging is now available on demand without the constraint of either long lead times or stockholding.
“The market for POS and decorative packaging is changing in response to the evolving retail market. In these days of rapidly changing demand, Cepac are able to offer a service proposition which is truly transformational.
