UK-based packaging solution provider Robinson has designed a new on-the-go pot for dessert maker GU Puds.

Used to pack GU Puds’ new ‘Food to Go’ range, the custom-made pots feature a curved shape and a lid with a spoon attached.

Inspired by the GU logo, the spoon's design is said to make the product more user-friendly for consumers.

Robinson noted that the newly designed pots can be manufactured in existing packaging lines.

Currently available in various supermarkets and retailers across the UK, GU Puds’ new ‘Food to Go’ dessert range includes a variety of flavours, including salted caramel, chocolate ganache, velvety blackcurrant and passion fruit posset.

Under the collaboration, Robinson, along with Jerónimo Martins team, produced an injection-moulded 450g pot and lid.

Made with high clarity polypropylene (PP), the products feature in-mould labels, which were specially developed to meet adverse filling and storage conditions.

Through its plastic packaging division, Robinson currently operates two manufacturing sites each in the UK and Poland.
